Whether you’re a die hard fan of the Kittens franchise or you’re new to the genre, there’s a lot to like about this game. The simple, colorful graphics are sure to delight, while the challenging gameplay will challenge players of all skill levels.
Wizard Kittens
Unlike other cat-themed games, Wizard Kittens is a family-friendly set collection card game with a twist at the end. It is meant for ages seven and up, but it is also suitable for younger children.
The Wizard Kittens game is a semi-cooperative set collection game that takes between fifteen to thirty minutes to play. It’s an accessible and fun game that’s a great addition to your family’s game shelf.
The game features adorable artwork from Meagan Trott, Dawn Lawson, and Miguel Angel Espinoza. It also comes with 6 Kickstarter Exclusive Cinder tokens.
The game is designed for two to four players, but a fifth player can be added as an expansion. The goal of the game is to clear up as many curses as possible before the librarian, Professor Whispurr, catches you. You’ll be able to score points for defeating curses.
The game uses a unique set of rules that will add a new twist to your family’s tabletop experience. You’ll have to make decisions about how to use your magic items. You’ll need to match your cards to your ritual components. You’ll also have to collect components for your next turn.
Exploding Kittens
Originally designed by Elan Lee of the Xbox fame, Exploding Kittens has become a hit with fans worldwide. The hysterical artwork and simple rules make for an interesting and hilarious game.
A card game for two to four players, the goal is to prevent a player from being blown up. Each player starts with a hand of cards, and on their turn, they may play cards from their hand. They also can trade for a drawing card from their opponent. If a player draws a defuse card, they can place their exploding kitten back into the deck.
The aim is to avoid being blown up, but there are times when it’s important to take risks. The All-Seeing Goat lets you see the top cards in the deck, and if you draw the Defuse card, you can place your exploding kitten back into the deck.
In addition to being fun, Exploding Kittens has some real strategy, and the right people can get a lot of laughs out of it. As the game progresses, the action moves fast. This means that the first few rounds can be pretty mundane. But as you get closer to the end of the pile, the excitement gets more and more intense.
Zombie Kittens
Introducing Zombie Kittens, an expansion to Exploding Kittens, the popular card game. Designed to be played by 2 to 5 players, this is an easy to learn, fun game for the whole family. It comes with a new deck of cards and a few new features.
Unlike the original game, this variant has a new card mechanic. A player can pick any card from the deck. The game is played in a round and the last player to survive wins. This card game resembles a spin on Russian Roulette but with a twist.
This is not a game for the faint of heart. Each player has a card to play and can choose to do nothing, play a “Nope” card or see the future. The top three cards in the deck are displayed in the “see the future” deck.
There are a few other variants in the series: the Not Safe for Work edition, Throw Throw Burrito and the original A Game of Cat & Mouth.
Endless Game
Hundreds of resources are available. You can unlock new technologies by harvesting catnip and building homes for kittens. You can upgrade your village by researching the different technologies. You can also explore space, which is the ultimate goal.
The game comes with more than 30 structures and 50+ sources. You can build temples to increase your catpower. If you want, you can use the Tempus Fugit mechanic to speed up resource collection and the passage of time.
There is a large variety of technologies to unlock, but the main tech tree starts with farming and ends with space exploration. There are also Workshops for addressing click-intensive issues.
The workshop tech tree has more advanced builds than the main tech tree. The workshop can refine complex resources, and some of them can be refined automatically. However, the workshop does not provide the same level of production boost as the main tech tree.
You can use your time to refine some of the complex resources, such as void. You can also refine them manually.
